Cherie’s practice focuses on the prosecution of patent applications and BPAI appeals as well as providing strategic analytical services.  Cherie is a former Primary Patent Examiner with a Generalist Designation and more than 13 years of USPTO experience. As an Agency-Designated Generalist Examiner, Cherie was an Agency recognized troubleshooter and worked with complex and combinatorial subject matter across a wide range of technology areas. Cherie examined applications for US Patents in the fields of biotechnology, stem cells, vaccines, cancer immunotherapy, pharmaceuticals, biologics, genomics, proteomics, glycobiology, microbiology, biofuels, polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, masking, materials science, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, synthetic biology, surgical instrumentation, bioinformatics (algorithms, artificial intelligence, microarrays, microfluidic devices, biomedical devices, and methods), software, business methods, and fiber optics.
